Rhiana Medina

Executive Director

Rhiana Medina has been an active helping professional in Salt Lake city and Moab, Utah since 2000. She has worked in several settings from property management to afterschool programs and nonprofit organizations. She has a Bachelor’s degree from Utah State University in Family Life Studies and Sociology. She moved to Moab in 2010 where she began volunteering with a newly formed Moab Valley Multicultural Center (MVMC) and became its Executive Director in 2012 where she is still working to create safe spaces and opportunities for Moab’s immigrant, homeless, and other vulnerable populations. She also serves on a variety of community, regional and statewide boards including the Utah State Courts Access to Justice Commission, the Moab Music Festival Board of Directors, the Regional Board of Health for Grand, Carbon, and Emery Counties, and the Inclusion and Equity Opportunity Advisory Council for SEUALG. She is a certified Community Health worker, trained community interpreter, and a UT Notary Public.
